Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 8 cups dry bread cubes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add celery and onion and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in fresh parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place bread cubes in a large bowl and pour vegetable mixture over the top.
  6. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring until bread is evenly moistened.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, until lightly golden on top.
